About Little Sun Africa
Little Sun Africa was born from a simple but powerful belief: No child should grow up in the dark.
Who We Are
We started Little Sun Africa because we saw something that broke us—and then lifted us.
In the villages of Tanzania, we met children who wake before dawn to walk miles for water.
Children who share one textbook between twenty. Children who smile not because life is easy, but because hope still lives inside them.
And we thought: What if we could be the match that lights that hope into a flame?
That’s why we exist. To brighten every child’s tomorrow.
Why Tanzania?
Nearly half of Tanzania's children live in abject poverty. Many have lost one or both parents.
Tanzania is a land of breathtaking savannahs, and in remote villages, a child can die from malaria—a disease preventable by a simple mosquito net.
We chose Tanzania not out of pity, but out of love. Because the children there are not problems to be solved.
They are future doctors, farmers, teachers, and leaders.
Our Approach
We focus on three simple things:
Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, dream, and succeed regardless of their background.
Through sustainable support and compassionate outreach, we are helping vulnerable children build brighter futures filled with hope, dignity, and opportunity.
Together, we can break cycles of poverty, inspire confidence, and create lasting change one child, one family, and one community at a time.
Our mission is built on compassion, integrity, and long-term impact. Creating safer, brighter futures for vulnerable children across Africa.
Donations are handled with transparency, accountability, and genuine care for the children we serve.
01.
— Light
Solar lamps for children who study by candle smoke.

03.

Objective
Little Sun Africa exists to empower Tanzanian villages through community-driven development by:
Promoting the sustainable development of the most disadvantaged communities in Kigoma, Tanzania, by supporting the implementation of cooperation projects.
We don’t do handouts. We do hand-ups. We work with local teachers, mothers, and village elders—because real change comes from within.
Every shilling, every dollar, every donation goes directly to a child. We keep our costs low because the real cost is a child giving up on their dreams.
Because a little sun is enough. It rises small, but it lights the whole sky. It doesn’t need to be huge to change everything.

Every project requires local participation, small contributions (in labor or locally sourced materials), and a maintenance plan created by Mission to achieve
